9th Street BMX: Austin Parks Foundation (APF) Golden Shovel Award - Best Adopt a Park group 2019

Image
9th Street BMX was awarded the Austin Parks Foundation Golden Shovel Award for best Adopt a Park group 2019 at the annual APF Funraiser on 10/2/2019. This award was such an amazing accolade. We would like to thank everyone who has ever lifted a shovel at 9th or supported us in anyway. This award would not be possible without everyone's ongoing help and commitment. The event was excellent and we were so fortunate to be nominated. After 25 years of volunteer manual labor we have been recognized for all our efforts to make 9th Street BMX what it is today. We would like to thank our Group board for all their behind the scenes hard work with the APF, City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department (COA PARD) , COA Art In Public Places (AIPP) and all our city stakeholders; Tina & Tom Williams & Taylor Brown of Empire BMX, Aron Hoag, Mike Esparza and Marty Christman. Gerald Mohollon for his volunteer coordination and passion for digging, he is the 2019 Trail Boss.  All
