9th Street BMX: Mulch Day 8/28/2018

We had a very successful volunteer day mulching trees at Duncan Park / 9th Street BMX thanks to the Austin Parks Foundation (APF). We moved 36 cubic yards of double grind Texas mulch to the benefit of several Live Oaks and Pecan trees.

Barry Rivera, with APF, coordinated with the UT School of Engineering to register 30 student volunteers to help. Thanks to the APF, Barry and all the UT students who helped us out.

After focusing on the trees, we mulched the area inside the Pump Track (kids area).
This area will be our designated landscaping area in our proposed APF park improvement grant.
The trails/park looks great!
Thanks again for everyone's help.
We look forward to It's My Park Day (IMPD) Fall 2018.


We had 2 trucks loads delivered, thanks Whittlesly Landscape Supply.

Good turn out for the 18th Annual 9th Street BMX Halloween Jam. The trails were soft and slow due to all the recent rain. People pulled together as always to get the jumps running and have a fun day. We had over 100 hot dogs and TRAIL RELISH! The Tejano Trails Pepper Goertz Memorial jam on 10-12-2019 was rad. Great turnout of people including pepper's family and the Mayor of Pflugerville Victor Gonzales. Thanks to everyone who helped to get the trails dialed and support a great cause. Bless Pepper G. RIP brother - we miss you. 9th Street BMX: 19th Annual Halloween Jam

Even though we had to postpone the 19th annual Halloween Jam from 10/26 to 11/2/19 due to a flood we had a good turnout and a great time.
